What to expect when you visit

Thinking about coming out some Sunday morning?  We understand that for some it is a bit intimidating not knowing what to expect when you visit.  We have attempted to answer those questions here.  Have more questions?  We hope you feel free to contact us with those.

Q. What is the Sunday morning worship service like?

Our weekly 10:30am Sunday service features a blended worship experience of older hymns, newer songs, prayer, Scripture readings and a relevant Bible-based message from Pastor Ken.  Our first time guests are not singled out, but invited to leave their contact information if they choose.

Q. What should I wear?

Whatever you feel comfortable in. People who attend Davis Memorial wear everything from business suits to jeans. Feel free to dress as you see fit!

Q. What about my kids?

On Sunday mornings our great nursery staff provides care for children birth through toddlers throughout the service.  School aged children (through fifth grade) are encouraged to join the congregation for singing and then are free to join our Children's Church staff downstairs for a kid-oriented lesson.

Q. What if I'm not a Christian?

Come anyway. Davis Memorial is not a Christian Country Club, but a place to find hope, help, and healing. We won’t badger you or thump you with a huge Bible. What we will do is welcome you and make you feel at home.

Q. Are you going to ask me for money?

No! Tithing is the giving of 10% of our income to the work of the church. Christians do this out of their love of God and to show obedience. Christians believe that we are only giving back what God has already blessed us with. You are welcome to participate during the offering time but you are by no means obligated.
